I have decided to put my bogging to good use and become a radical blogtervist: my thought for the day today 20th Dec 06...
I went into Waitrose yesterday to get some vegetables and was looking at the bananas - should I buy bargain bananas or 'fair trade' bananas? Fair Trade of course, who wants to eat an unfairly traded banana? But then it occurred to me, why doesn't it say 'unfairly traded' on every other fruit and veg? Coz then we'd all realise the Sinister behind the humble banana etc. And who wants to be reminded that all your fruits and vegetables are unfairly traded? Innit. I might go in and re-lable for them - 'unfairly traded' or in the non-organic sections 'coated with a cocktail of pesticides' etc etc. Just let me loose in the egg section of Tesco or Sainsburys...
